Project Description
With the message of accepting menstruation with respect, speaking with pride and not shame, a training on making sanitary pads has been organized by the Club targeting women and girls. Under the facilitation of the Rotary Club of Hetauda, Rotaract Club of CMC and Rotaract Club of Hetaunda, training on making sanitary pads has been organized for women and girls participating in the RCC Handikhola and microcredit programs.
The participants in the training were provided with knowledge on how to make safe, cheap and environment-friendly sanitary pads, their use and hygiene.
Speaking at the program, the trainers said that this type of skill would help make women self-reliant and play an important role in reducing health risks. The participants said that they gained practical knowledge from the training and expressed their confidence that it would be useful in their daily lives.
Club President Pramesh Pradhan has expressed his commitment to continue such skill-based and public awareness programs in the coming days.
